UCLA Medical Center Auxiliary
The UCLA Medical Center Auxiliary has provided support for Medical Center programs and patients for nearly 50 years. In June of 1955, shortly after the doors to the new UCLA Medical Center opened, the Regents formally accepted the plan to establish an Auxiliary. The Auxiliary was formed as a support group and community liaison for the Medical Center. Funds raised by the Auxiliary support patient aid, grants for special projects and equipment for the Medical Center and scholarships for medical and nursing students and student volunteers.

The Auxiliary has 400 members and provides complimentary membership to hospital volunteers. The Auxiliary presents lectures of interest to its general membership and hosts award and recognition programs during the year. Membership is open to all. For additional information on the Auxiliary, please contact Hanna Fairchild at (310) 825-7283.

UCLA Medical Center Ambassador Service
The Ambassador Service is a group of corp volunteers who personally escort and guide patients and families throughout the Medical Center, Jules Stein Eye Institutes, NPH and the Medical Plaza. They also provide referral information for such services as ATMs, restaurants, hotels and various popularly requested service within close proximity to UCLA Medical Center. They are stationed in the front lobby of the Medical Center and you can recognize them by their special uniform of dark blue blazers, khaki pants and a white polo shirt.
